Testing Services Specialist
Highland Community College is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Testing Services Specialist to join our team. This full-time position provides placement testing and a variety of other testing services for both internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and proctor placement tests for prospective, current, and returning students, including high school students.
- Accurately enter and upload placement test data into the BANNER system.
- Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for Accuplacer.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Administer various other tests such as PearsonVue, Kaplan for nursing students, CLEP, and DSST for both internal and external clients.
- Assist in generating reports and statistics related to placement testing and other Testing Center services.
- Support Quick Start events by organizing and facilitating testing processes throughout the school year.
- Act as the key contact for Testing Center operations in the absence of the Testing Center Coordinator.
- Update manuals and maintain testing center resources and information on the website.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to the smooth operation of the Testing Center.
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate’s degree and at least two (2) years of office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates your ability to excel in this role.
- Knowledge of testing principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service mindset, with the ability to work with a diverse population.
- Proficiency in computer operations and software applications.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work one evening per week.
Required Certification:
- Must be certified to administer Pearson VUE, CLEP, and DSST within three (3) months of hire.

Salary & Benefits:
• Salary Range: $16.34 - $24.52 per hour
